Why Thornton's Arcade?
Opened in 1878, Thornton's Arcade is one of Britain's oldest and most beautiful Victorian shopping arcades. Its vaulted glass ceiling, intricate ironwork, and independent spirit make it a world away from the high street. For a brand rooted in craft, precision, and considered design, it felt like the only address in Leeds.
We're proud to be part of a community of independent makers and retailers who call the Arcade home — and to have been recognised by the Yorkshire Evening Post and listed on VisitLeeds.co.uk as a destination worth seeking out.

The ground floor carries the full Masato Jones ready-to-wear collection — premium apparel, jewellery, curated gifts, greeting cards, and journals. Everything is selected with the same editorial eye that runs through the brand: elevated, considered, and gift-ready.
Head upstairs and you'll find our working atelier, where bespoke commissions and made-to-measure tailoring are brought to life. From Saitama to Central Saint Martins to Leeds
The brand was founded by a designer who grew up in Saitama, Japan, trained at Central Saint Martins in London, and ultimately chose Leeds as the place to build something lasting. Thornton's Arcade — with its history, its craft, and its refusal to be ordinary — is the perfect expression of that journey.
